Eco Art: Bangladesh

FLOATING ENGLISH GARDEN

My inspiration for this work are the Floating Gardens many
rural farmers use in Bangladesh to compensate for the increasing
loss of land due to rising sea levels - a direct consequence of
Global warming.

Congratulations on a really inspiring way of raising awareness about such a crucial issue. It really brings home how vital it is for we in the industrialised countries to reduce our emissions as fast and effectively as possible. In my role as MEP, I've been doing all I can to put pressure on the EU to adopt far more ambitious emission reduction targets - and of course will continue to do so.

And now in Vienna there is 1 square meter of garden to support Christine's project. It's the "Christine Dawson English Country Little Garden". Made with no need of fuel: Just water (for the plants) and a beer (for me).
