'JUST ANOTHER DAY?'
This newspaper installation was inspired by original 9/11 - 7/7 newspapers which gave no indication of what was to come. A newspaper domestic installation personifies how close to home the danger is and how fragile we all are in today’s climate. Any of us can be today’s headlines. A sinister take on Warhol’s “15 minutes of fame”.

CUPS
This installation is inspired by the Poets of Guantanamo who in the first year of their detention were not allowed writing materials. Undeterred poems were composed on Styrofoam cups using pebbles. The poems were passed from cell to cell.
When the guards discovered what was going on, they smashed the cups and threw them away fearing it was a way of passing coded messages.
Fragments of these “cup poems” survived and are included in the anthology Poems from Guantanamo – The Detainees Speak., Mark Falcoff, (ed), published by University of Iowa Press.
Iowa Press have granted me permission to use quotes from this book.

EGGSHELLS
This body of work which consists of an installation and photographs is about domestic violence and what happens behind domestic walls.
A friend said to me that living with her abusive partner was like “walking on eggshells”.
I am in the process of making a video to be part of this work.
